As a lifelong health nut, I have been fascinated by food trends. It seems that food trends come and go even more quickly these days due to the internet, blogging and social media.
In this blog, I will explore the current trends, purchase a new product, prepare according to the package instructions and leave some feedback. This isn't a recipe blog, but I encourage my readers to leave comments if they have used the product in a recipe. Good or bad, I love feedback.
In my spare time, I spend time with my husband, cats and family. I like biking, hiking, reading, going to live music concerts, and of course, perusing the aisles of my local grocery stores!
I'm fascinated by food trends. As a lifelong health nut, I have seen so many trends come and go. With the advent of the internet, blogging and social media, food trends come and go even more quickly than before. Say you watch a recipe video on Facebook and something about it looks doable. You might share the video with your Facebook friends and before you know it, there are thousands of comments on the video. In the comment section, you will usually find those who tried it and loved it, those who didn't but would like to try it and those who make "helpful suggestions" on the video which are usually ingredient substitutions to make the dish more healthy or easier to prepare.
Food trends may include foods suited for a particular diet, new twists on old favorite foods and innovations in food preparation (think InstaPot). In this blog, I will focus on the first two. This isn't a recipe blog, but I am open to my readers submitting recipes based on foods I have reviewed. In fact, I welcome them!
I will do my best to prepare a food according to the label's directions or suggestions. If I add anything, I will detail that in the blog. If you have prepared the food I review differently, please leave comments. I love new tips and tricks, especially if they add to the food's yum factor.
